Rivers to the limit in Austria, more than half of Slovenia affected by floods and northern Italy, again flooded by heavy rains.
A few weeks after torrential rains caused devastating floods in Austria, the country is once again in serious trouble. The torrential rains of these days have drastically raised the level of the rivers in Tyrol and neighboring regions.

In much of Austria there are closed roads and the Brenner railway line had to be suspended due to landslides. The water level of the Eno River in Innsbruck has reached its highest level in the last 100 years.
Slovenia has again been affected by rain after recently suffering the biggest flood disaster in its history. After a brief respite, landslides are causing problems again.
And floods have wreaked havoc across two-thirds of Slovenia, leaving many villages isolated. The southwestern coastal area and the western area of Gorizia were affected on Monday by heavy rains that left roads, streets and buildings flooded, and traffic problems.
In addition, northern Italy continues to face the storm. The center of Trieste was flooded after a downpour hit the port city in the northeastern region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Many residents and tourists took refuge in the bars while the wind blew the belongings from the terraces.
