The Tolosa Duty Judge has ordered the release of the 51-year-old man who was arrested last Saturday when he fired numerous shotguns at a gastronomic society in Lazkao (Gipuzkoa), without causing any personal injury, according to has informed the Basque Department of Security.
Around eight in the morning on Saturday, the Ertzaintza was alerted to the presence of a man on the public highway in Lazkao, armed with firearms and apparently firing shots at the facade of the Esparru gastronomic society.
The police teams that immediately went to the place managed to neutralize and disarm the suspect, who was carrying two shotguns, and proceeded to arrest him.
Immediately afterwards, it was possible to verify that the door of said premises had numerous impacts and that at the time of the events there were two people inside, apparently carrying out cleaning tasks, one of whom had a minor injury due to the impact of pellet.
The arrested man, who, according to what has been found, could have previously had an altercation in said society, was transferred to police stations in order to carry out the pertinent procedures before being brought to justice. He has gone to court this Monday and has been released after declaring before the Tolosa Duty Judge.
