At least four employees of a school in the Sumi region, in the northeast of Ukraine and bordering Russia, died this Wednesday, when a Russian attack hit the educational center where they worked.
At least four employees of a school in the Sumi region, in the northeast of Ukraine and bordering Russia, died this Wednesday, when a Russian attack hit the educational center where they worked.
“The number of victims of the Russian attack on a school in (the town of Romni) has risen to four,” the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said in a statement. The deceased are the director of the school, the deputy director, the secretary and the librarian.
At first, two people had been reported dead in the attack, which destroyed the educational center. The other two bodies were found by rescue services in the rubble.
Four bystanders who were near the school at the time of the attack were injured.
Since the beginning of the invasion on February 24, 2022, the UN has counted the deaths of more than 9,000 civilians due to the Russian military aggression against Ukraine.
