Russia | The plane in which Yevgeny Prigozhin was traveling crashes. The leader of the Wagner group was one of ten passengers aboard a private Embraer jet that crashed in Russia’s Tver region.
A private Embraer plane crashed on Wednesday in the Russian region of Tver with ten passengers on board, including the head of the Wagner Group, Yevgueni Prigozhin, the civil aviation agency Rossaviatsia reported to local media.

Rossaviatsia specified that on the passenger list was the name and surname of Prigozhin, who led an armed rebellion against the Kremlin last June.
“According to preliminary data, all those on board have died,” the Ministry for Emergency Situations reported.
The plane was heading from Moscow to St. Petersburg. Its ten passengers died.
According to unconfirmed media reports, the plane belonged to Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner private military company.
Russia’s civil aviation regulator Rosaviatsia said Prigozhin was on the passenger list. However, it was not immediately clear if he had boarded the flight.
