The chef Ander López dies at the age of 25 in a traffic accident in Formentera

The accident took place near the Es Ca Marí junction and required the intervention of the fire brigade, who had to intervene to facilitate the access of the toilets to the vehicle driven by López and to remove it from the passenger compartment. When the emergency services arrived, who received the call at 4:45 a.m., the 25-year-old presented “asystole with serious injuries incompatible with life.” The other two injured were initially transferred to the Formentera Hospital, although the woman required a suture that was performed at the Can Misses Hospital, in Ibiza.

Lopez grew up in Lodosa where he lived with his family until he moved to Esparreguera, in Barcelona, ​​as a teenager. According to the newspaper Noticias de Navarra, he had worked in different catering businesses, among them, in the El Patio sandwich shop that his mother ran in his hometown. Later, he continued his career in Barcelona, ​​where he worked in the kitchens of Flor de Sal and the Barcelona Golf Hotel, and in London. Currently, he was part of the kitchen team at the Es Còdol Foradat establishment, located on Migjorn beach and led by the well-known chef Nandu Jubany, who has several businesses in the Balearic Islands.
