Agents of the National Police in Palma have arrested the 40-year-old repeat offender of Malian origin, Mousa Tounkara, for the fourth time in less than two weeks as the alleged perpetrator of four home robberies and one robbery with violence and intimidation in Palma .
As reported by the National Police in a press release, the first of the events occurred on August 11, at 12:30 p.m., in the neighborhood of La Vileta, in Palma, when several residents notified the Police that a person was inside a farm, after having accessed by climbing a wall and a gate.
When the agents arrived at the place, they observed the alleged perpetrator still inside, and when he saw them he wanted to flee by jumping over an adjoining wall, where there was an agent who was already waiting for him, so he tried to flee through another wall that adjoined another property. , where another agent also surprised him, and was finally arrested.
Then, the policemen searched the man and seized 100 euros and a mobile phone that, after the corresponding procedures, it was found that it had been taken from a woman an hour earlier, when she was trying to enter a home. Apparently, the man wanted to steal the bag from the victim by pulling.
The woman prevented him and began a struggle, until the defendant snatched his cell phone and ran away. For these reasons, the National Police arrested the man as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of robbery with force and one of robbery with violence and intimidation.
The following day, August 12, at around 2:00 p.m., the same man was surprised in the patio of a building, the neighbors having to lock themselves in to prevent him from entering his home, while he was rummaging through the belongings that were in the patio. .
Once the agents arrived at the scene, they observed the alleged perpetrator still in the courtyard, and when he saw them, he jumped over the wall again and fled the scene, thus beginning a run through the Cas Capiscol neighborhood.
The man was finally intercepted by the police 900 meters from where the robbery had taken place, crouching in a bush to avoid being seen. The man was arrested again for a robbery with force.
Likewise, two days later, on August 14, a property manager in the Es Fortí area when he was by a property, observed how the man was on the terrace of an apartment, for which he wanted to stop him, fleeing this one from the place, and thus beginning a career, until with the help of other passers-by they were able to hold him until the arrival of the Police who arrested him for a robbery with force.
The last arrest was for robbery in the El Amanecer neighborhood of Palma. The alleged perpetrator has a police record for similar events, and new accusations for other events are not ruled out, so the police proceedings remain open.
National Police officers have expressed frustration that every arrest of repeat offender Mousa Tounkara ends with his release.
