Ayuso receives The Torch of Freedom for contributing to making Madrid the economic engine of Spain

The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has been awarded La Torcha de la Libertad 2023, a distinction granted by the Liberty International organization for her defense of this value and for contributing to the region being the economic engine of Spain and a international pole for attracting talent and investment.

The Minister of the Presidency, Justice and Local Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, has collected this distinction this Friday within the framework of the 37th edition of its World Conference that is held between August 16 and 19 in the capital.

This event brings together more than 200 people and 10 organizations from around the world in the Ateneo de Madrid auditorium to develop concrete recommendations and address how to achieve longevity and prosperity from an individual level to entire communities.

García Martín has highlighted that «Madrid represents a model of freedom, prosperity and opportunities for all. A region with a stable government that guarantees legal certainty, balanced taxation with low taxes and public services of the highest quality », he has emphasized.
