Sevilla stood up against Manchester City in the European Super Cup final and came alive until the penalty shootout. They tied at one in the 90 minutes, forgiving even the second, and lost in the penalty shootout with Gudelj’s shot off the crossbar in the last shot.
Sevilla made an impeccable final, but it was Manchester City who were proclaimed super champions of Europe for the first time in their history. Both teams scored the first four penalties perfectly. Walker scored the fifth for City and Gudelj missed the fifth for Sevilla.
