As the successor to the Universal Windows Platform (UWP), Microsoft offers the Windows UI Library 3 (WinUI 3), a new XAML-based GUI library for creating modern desktop applications. The WinUI 3 is implemented in C++ and has the potential to offer similar performance as the UWP, but can be run on Windows without a sandbox and offers full access to all APIs – on Windows as well as on Linux, macOS, iOS, Android and in the browser using the Uno platform.

In the two-day interactive online workshop Developing Modern Desktop Applications with WinUI 3 you will receive a comprehensive introduction to WinUI3 development. You will learn how to create attractive and powerful business applications for Windows platforms 10 and 11 using App SDK in combination with the new graphical framework.
Our trainer dr. Veikko Krypczyk will familiarize you with the basics of WinUI3 and introduce you to the various functions and best practices for efficient application development. As an experienced software developer with a focus on WinUI 3 and .NET MAUI, he works primarily with Microsoft products.
This workshop is aimed at developers who have previously created their applications with the older technologies Windows Forms (Win Forms) and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) or have a background in other tools and programming languages.
The workshop will take place on September 11th and 12th, 2023. The number of participants is limited to 12 people in order to allow plenty of room for your own questions and a lively exchange of experiences with the speakers.
