Pornhub operator Mindgeek is threatening legal action against a New York kebab shop because its name and logo are too reminiscent of the porn site. This is reported by the New York city magazine Chelsea News, citing the letter that the operators of the “Döner Haus” received. “Real German Kebabs” offers this – “In Germany we simply call it ‘Döner'” – and rejects the allegations. They are “funny and absurd”, a mix-up “unlikely”. You are “shocked and sad” that you only serve food and have nothing to do with Pornhub’s business. At the same time, they also rely on bare skin for advertising on X (formerly Twitter).

The Internet is full of hot IT news and stale Pr0n. In between there are always gems that are too good for /dev/null.
Allegations “incredible”
The “Döner Haus” was opened in the spring in the Manhattan district, promising a kebab that always tastes the same. The logo is similar to that of the porn site, but the operators point out that the fonts and colors used differ, according to Chelsea News. They are characterized by their focus on “healthy and family-oriented cuisine” and “delicious food”. A lawyer for the operators doubts the legal basis that has been put forward, saying that the allegations are “incredible”. They probably missed a deadline set for August 7: “We consider the matter settled,” says the lawyer.
According to the report, Mindgeek claims that the restaurant’s logo, which is also used on social networks, could confuse users of the porn site. The magazine is reminiscent of the “Doner Haus Porn Videos” subsection (without the umlaut), although the report does not reveal whether Mindgeek mentions it. At the “Döner Haus” the accusation is broken down that the video platform fears that people who are looking for movies there could possibly be so confused that they could buy a kebab instead. That is as funny as it is absurd. Mindgeek has not commented.
