A leak reveals some key specs of the new Galaxy S24 Ultra. Well-known leaker Yogesh Brar has revealed on his X account, formerly Twitter, information about the cameras, chipset, battery and charging speeds of Samsung’s upcoming high-end flagship, which is due to be launched in the coming year. This is reported by PhoneArena, a website that contains news, reviews and specifications of various smartphones and devices.

According to the report, the most obvious upgrade of the Galaxy 24 Ultra is the next-gen chipsets. “It has emerged that Samsung may need to go back to its old ways and manufacture its flagship range using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon and in-house Exynos silicon,” writes PhoneArena. In the case of the Galaxy S24 series, these would be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the Exynos 2400. In mid-June there was speculation that ARM Cortex-X4 processors could debut in top-of-the-line smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy S24 in early 2024.
New 3x telephoto shooter
In Brar’s post While there is no mention of a new main camera, there is a mention of a new 50-megapixel (MP) triple-telephoto shooter instead of the 10MP that the Galaxy Ultra models have had in recent years, PhoneArena continues. This goes well with the recent rumors about possible camera upgrades. However, the rest of the cameras, just like the main camera, appear to be unchanged.
Another leak recently surfaced online said that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will get faster charging speeds. The information published by Brar contradicts this. Accordingly, the wired charging speed of 45 watts remains. PhoneArena admits that some of the information Brar leaked may turn out to be false, while others may be true. At this early stage, “a good deal of skepticism” is still appropriate.
