A woman arrested for harassing another who was going to marry her ex-partner

A woman has been arrested in Palma by the National Police for allegedly harassing another woman who was going to marry her ex-partner through social networks.

The victim and her boyfriend filed a complaint after receiving a large number of messages, from three different profiles on a social network, in which, in addition to insulting and humiliating her and her current partner, they mentioned personal details, trying to make you think that your partner could have been unfaithful or be unfaithful in the future.

After the blocking of the profile from which he received hostile messages with the victim’s personal details, he continued to receive other messages from newly created profiles. The harassment continued with the sending of photographs of some jewelry that had been stolen from the victim’s home. After this, the victim understood that the alleged perpetrator had come to enter her home without her consent to steal them, which caused great fear for her safety and she moved house.

Thus, after an investigation and analysis of data, with the mandatory orders of the Judicial Authority, the alleged perpetrator of the events was identified and located, proceeding to her arrest last week. As reported, the police investigations would lead one to think that the accused could have committed the acts motivated by jealousy and the upcoming marriage between the victim and her ex-partner.

As reported by the police force in a press release this Wednesday, the investigation began after receiving a complaint of the facts in the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade, specifically, the Group of Technological Crimes (Cybercrime) and Economic Crime, together to a requirement of an Investigating Court in Palma.
