A shot to the head in Usera and an assault with a knife in the center of Madrid leave two seriously injured

On the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in Madrid, two people were seriously injured due to aggression: one from a shot to the head in Usera and another with a knife in the central Malasaña neighborhood. Both men, one 46 years old and the other 28, remain admitted to hospital centers with a serious prognosis.

In the case of Usera, the 46-year-old man was shot in the head when he was inside a restaurant located on Calle de Dolores Barranco, in the south of the capital, as reported by the Madrid emergency service. . The attack occurred around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday, when the victim was treated.

A team from Samur Civil Protection stabilized the injured man inside the same premises after which he proceeded, with prior notice, to transfer him to the Hospital 12 de Octubre, where he has been admitted with a serious prognosis. The Municipal Police of Madrid, who went to the scene of the attack, has taken over the investigation of the event.

In the case of Malasaña, a 28-year-old man was seriously injured with a knife in the abdominal area on San Bernardo street in the capital, on the corner with Daoiz street, as reported by the chief of guards at Samur- Civil Protection José María García de Buen.

The injured man was treated by personnel from the Madrid emergency service after Madrid Municipal Police officers placed an occlusive patch on him to stop the bleeding. Once stabilized by the toilets, he was transferred in serious condition to the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid.
