Poland staged a military parade Tuesday to display its state-of-the-art weapons and defense systems as war continues on its southeastern border with neighboring Ukraine and on the eve of parliamentary elections scheduled for Oct. 15.

Since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Poland’s conservative government has spent some 14.7 billion euros on tanks, interceptor missile systems and fighter jets, many bought from the United States and South Korea.
