The area is mostly uninhabited, but at least one family had to be evacuated by emergency workers.
Fernando Rodríguez, commander of the volunteer firefighters, said that almost 60 hectares have burned.
The fire between Soacha and Mondañedo is also close to an airplane landing strip and a plant nursery.
Germán Garzón, a farmer who works at the nursery, said local residents are mobilizing to try to keep the area safe.
The causes of the fire are unknown.
