The PSOE will propose Francina Armengol for the Presidency of the Congress of Deputies

The PSOE will propose the former president of the Balearic Islands Francina Armengol for the Presidency of the Congress of Deputies in the Constitutive Session of the XV Legislature, which will take place this Thursday. The Federal Executive Commission of the PSOE will make this proposal this Wednesday to the Socialist Parliamentary Group, which will meet throughout the day.

During her career in the socialist ranks, Armengol has been a councilor in the Inca town hall, a deputy in the Parliament of the Balearic Islands and the Congress of Deputies. In 2015 she became the first woman president of the Autonomous Community, a position that she revalidated in 2019.
