In the last 24 hours, the Canary Islands have received the arrival of 10 boats and a total of 495 migrants on board. The last one was rescued by Salvamento Marítimo 64 kilometers east of Fuerteventura with 53 migrants of sub-Saharan origin on board, including 11 women and 3 children.

All the occupants of the last boat are in apparent good health, a spokesman for Maritime Rescue has informed Efe, who has detailed that the migrants will arrive in the afternoon at the port of Gran Tarajal. The ship had been sighted by the Sasemar 101 plane around 10:10 in the morning and the migrants were rescued by the Salvamar Izar.
