Second assault in Pozoblanco in 24 hours: a man stabbed his partner in a camping pool

The Civil Guard has arrested a man in Pozoblanco (Córdoba) as the alleged perpetrator of an attack with a knife on his partner, a 41-year-old woman, in the swimming pool of a campsite in the municipality. A minor, their daughter, received a blow to her face while trying to prevent the attack, resulting in a minor injury. The alleged attacker already has a history of gender violence against the same woman, who has been admitted to the Valle de Los Pedroches Hospital in the town.

The event took place around 2:00 p.m., when the Armed Institute received a notice from the 112 Emergency Service announcing that a woman had been attacked with a knife in the pool of the Pozoblanco campsite.

Immediately, agents of the Civil Guard have moved to the place and have located the victim in the vicinity, who had injuries compatible with a knife, so the agents have provided first aid until the arrival of the 061 doctors, They have transferred her to the aforementioned hospital.

The Civil Guard and the Pozoblanco Local Police have deployed a device that has allowed the arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the events and the recovery of the knife used in the attack.

The attack occurred when Pozoblanco was in his second day of official mourning decreed by the City Council for the murder of a 31-year-old woman at the hands of her partner, who later committed suicide. The victim already denounced the man in 2017 for gender violence and the judge decreed a restraining order for four months. She was one of the three-year-old daughters of the couple, who found the bodies of her father and her mother and alerted a neighbor of hers.
