The .NET MAUI framework allows apps to be programmed for almost all systems, both mobile (iOS, Android) and desktop (Windows and macOS). Programming is done with C# and the description language XAML for the user interface. In this way, developers can make their apps accessible across platforms with relatively little effort.

Modern apps from a single source with C# and .NET
Together with Rheinwerk, the heise Academy presents the new webinar series Cross-Platform Programming with .NET MAUI. The series includes five webinars with a total of 20 hours of expert knowledge about cross-platform app development: from setting up the programming and system environment through the entire development cycle of the app to programming modern apps for all systems from a source code base. Knowledge of a modern object-oriented programming language is required. XAML knowledge is not necessary.
The dates for the individual webinars are:
September 6th: Understanding and Using .NET MAUI – Basics13. September: Designing user interfaces with XAML20. September: Understanding and Applying the MVVM Design Pattern (App Architecture)27. September: Enable access to devices and sensors – with .NET MAUI and platform code04. October: Project examples and best practices – with .NET MAUI from the idea to the finished app
The webinars have a duration of four hours each and take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participation in a webinar appointment costs 169 euros (all prices include VAT). If you want to book all five dates at once, you can either save a lot with the combination ticket for 595 euros or secure unlimited access to over 100 video courses and over 100 live events per year with the heise Academy Pass from 495 euros.
Practical and expert knowledge – live and for later
All participants can look forward to lots of practice and expert tips. Questions are answered directly in the live chat and the participants can also exchange information on the topic with each other. There is also the opportunity to repeat and deepen what you have learned afterwards (subsequent access to the videos and exercise materials is included).
