A minibus plunged into a ravine in Morocco on Sunday, killing all 24 people on board in one of the worst traffic accidents in the North African country’s history, authorities said.

The passengers were traveling on a mountainous route to a weekly market in the city of Demnate, in the central province of Azilal, when the minibus overturned around a bend, local authorities said.
An investigation has been opened to determine the cause of the accident, but the conclusions have not yet been made public.
