Fresh leaks for the iPhone 15: More memory, USB-C and an action button
It will probably be a little more than a month before Apple will present its iPhone 15 series models – and there are more and more leaks, rumors and speculations about what will probably be four new models. Three of the latest pieces of information all come from Asia and concern hardware details.

So there is on X first pictures to see the new USB-C sockets that are supposed to be in all four models instead of the outdated Lightning port. They are said to come from the iPhone models 15 Plus, 15 and 15 Pro Max and are shown with flex cables. The colors range from a dark blue to a light blue. Whether the recordings are real or fakes cannot be said with certainty.
However, it is generally accepted that Apple will switch to USB-C for the iPhone 15. The company is reacting to both pressure from the EU Commission and general user demand. Allegedly, however, there will be partially nailed charging cables, and Apple could throttle the throughput speed depending on the model.
Action button coming?
Speculation number 2 is a shell leak – a provider from Asia disseminates images of three iPhone 15 cases, showing a new button arrangement. Instead of the slide switch for the vibration alarm or mute, a simple button can be seen in the cases.
Apple is said to be planning a freely configurable assignment here, similar to the Apple Watch Ultra. The button is located next to the volume buttons. Originally, Apple is said to have considered installing fixed buttons. However, there are said to have been problems with the development of these “Solid State Buttons”.

TByte question mark
There has also been speculation over the past few days as to whether Apple will be offering an iPhone with 2 TB of flash memory for the first time. Rumor maker yeux1122 from Korea claims to have heard this from the supply chain – iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max offer this option.
Apple is also said to be providing the new smartphones with double the memory – the iPhone 15 should now have at least 256 GB. The price is always interesting here – Apple always uses the capacity to segment (and make more expensive) its devices. NAND flash itself is dirt cheap these days.
