La 1 broadcasts a new installment of Blood Ties tonight starting at 10:35 p.m. In its program today, August 8, the network dedicates this new episode to one of the biggest stars and child prodigy on the Spanish scene in the 1960s.
The artist in question is Pepa Flores, better known as Marisol. She has been withdrawn from the media spotlight for 40 years and, although she has had many occasions and million-dollar offers to show herself again, she has decided not to. She prefers to keep the privacy and freedom that she now has. She was a muse of the stage of the Transition from Francoism to democracy, in 1960 she made her film debut, consolidating herself as a mass phenomenon and in 1985 she began her retirement. However, the myth remains.

The actress and singer received the Goya de Honor in 2020 “for her unforgettable performances and for being one of the actresses most loved by the general public.” She did not even on this occasion want to appear publicly and it was her daughters who collected the award in her place. “Dear mom, from that calm place that you have achieved and it has cost you so much, this profession gives you this award. Dear Pepita, enjoy it, it’s for you ”, the three pronounced, remembering that intimacy that she now enjoys and that in her golden years she saw totally annulled.
Lazos de sangre will feature his daughter Celia and her sister Vicky to learn a little about the current situation of a person today “anonymous”, but whose legacy is an icon. Although it seems that she denies her past, her sister assures that she “is the person who takes the most care of Marisol’s image.” The journalists Ángel Antonio Herrera, Paloma Robles and José Manuel Parada also participate in the documentary. In addition, the singer Manuel de la Calva, from the Dúo Dinámico, and the actress Victoria Vera will also recount their experiences alongside this woman. Jorge Sanz, a child prodigy in his day, helps explain what it means to become famous at such a young age.
As always, the program will be presented by Jordi González. As collaborators, it will have the presence of journalists Beatriz Cortázar, Paloma García-Pelayo, Marta Nebot and Juan Sanguino; the fashion analyst Nacho Montes and the singer Melody. It will review the harsh childhood of a girl turned prodigy and far from home, her relationship with the Goyanes family, her two marriages, the figure of Antonio Gades, the Interviú nude that shocked the country and her more committed and revolutionary among other issues.
