The National Police arrested a 92-year-old man on Tuesday for the murder of his partner, a 91-year-old woman, in Valle Guerra, in Tenerife. Police sources affirm that the victim’s body shows signs of a violent death. The authorities are investigating the case as a sexist crime.
This morning the Civil Guard has also reported that the finding of two bodies in Pozoblanco, Córdoba, is being investigated as a sexist murder. The woman’s corpse showed signs of violence and lay next to that of the alleged murderer, along with a shotgun. If both cases are confirmed, the number of victims of sexist murders rises to 35 in 2023 and 1,120 since 2003.
