A man was arrested this Monday afternoon in Madrid after stabbing another 55-year-old man in the neck in the central Plaza de Tirso de Molina. The event, which took place around 5:15 p.m., occurs just a month after another murder in the vicinity, that of Conchi, 61, in the Vistebien store.
The victim, injured with a large kitchen knife, has been transferred to the Clinical Hospital. Her condition has been classified as non-serious, despite the seriousness of the injury.
A municipal police patrol belonging to the Centro Sur police station has arrested the alleged perpetrator of the attack. In turn, another police indicative has found the knife hidden in a trash can on the nearby Calle Cabezas, number 3.
Some witnesses say that both the victim and the aggressor are North African. At the moment, the Municipal Police of Madrid have not confirmed the nationality of the attacker or the victim.
