The Gram notebook series is growing, LG is now also selling the Gram Superslim in Germany. It goes against two major trends of recent years: against the rounding up from 15.6 to 16 inches and the use of higher displays, for example in 16:10 format. In return, it reduces the weight to just 990 grams and the height to 12.6 mm at the thickest point when folded.
A 15.6-inch OLED display in 16:9 format is used. Interested parties have to make concessions here, as it only displays 1920 × 1080 pixels at 60 Hertz. After all, it completely covers the DCI-P3 color space and shines with up to 400 cd/m².
There isn’t much choice in the 15.6-inch OLED class from display manufacturers because they’re concentrating on 16-inch models. 1440p options represent 120 or 240 Hertz, which drains the battery more, as does a rarely seen 4K variant.
The big brother LG Gram 16 is available in two variants with OLED and IPS screens. The former displays 3200 × 2000 pixels, but weighs 1.25 kg. The IPS version displays 2560 × 1600 pixels and weighs 1.2 kg.

For 1699 euros in the LG store
LG has so far sold a single configuration of the Gram Superslim in Germany for 1699 euros. It uses Intel’s second-fastest P processor, Core i7-1360P, with six performance cores and eight efficiency cores, as well as an integrated graphics unit – there is no separate graphics chip.
There is also 16 GB of LPDDR5-6000 RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD with a PCI Express 4.0 connection. The wireless module supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1. Two of the three USB-C ports are Thunderbolt 4 including Power Delivery and DisplayPort mode, otherwise there is only one 3.5 mm jack.
