The Herbstcampus is an insider tip, especially for developers in the greater Nuremberg area. In its 15th edition, the developer conference taking place at the Technical University of Nuremberg from September 5th to 7th, 2023 again offers a professional but also family environment to get to know current trends and to consciously discover topics outside the mainstream. Interested parties can now understand this based on the largely completed program.
Wide range of topics – complex program
The conference is divided into two main conference days with almost 40 sessions and a preceding training day with currently three full-day workshops. In contrast to many other developer conferences, the length of the lectures is deliberately chosen to be somewhat longer at 70 minutes. The participants should be able to immerse themselves in a subject as deeply as possible or in a way that is relevant to practice. Concrete information on the two keynote speeches will follow shortly.
The full-day workshops on September 5 will cover the following topics:
TypeScript: Advanced Types and ConceptsPattern Matching with JavaSpring Modulith – A Deep Dive
The lecture program of the autumn campus is traditionally dedicated to important topics such as software architecture, quality assurance and security this year. In addition, the trend topic of artificial intelligence is not neglected, for example in articles on the use of ChatGPT in application development, prompt engineering or the self-construction of GPT-like systems. But the obligatory lectures on programming languages such as Java/Jakarta EE, Kotlin and JavaScript also play a role.
Selected highlights from the lecture program:
Java 21 – Pattern Matching and Virtual ThreadsMigrating an Application from Jakarta EE to QuarkusHexagonal, Onion or Clean: Architectures for Transforming DDDSupply Chain Security from Commit to DeploymentFrom Zero to ChatGPT Hero: Effective Prompt Engineering
