The Civil Guard has carried out a new operation in Albudeite (Murcia) for alleged purchase of votes in the 28-M elections with 13 detainees, including the PSOE candidate for mayor. In addition to the PSOE candidate for mayor, Isabel Peñalver, in the operation for the alleged purchase of votes by mail in exchange for money, number 19 on the Socialist lists, Héctor Antonio Martínez, has also been arrested.
The 13 detainees and two investigated in Albudeite, with 1,300 inhabitants, have been brought to justice for their relationship with an alleged vote-buying plot similar to the one carried out in Mojácar (Almería), in this case also with two PSOE candidates arrested .
This week another operation was also carried out in Melilla, in this case by the National Police, with a councilor from the Coalition for Melilla (CPM) implicated in the alleged purchase of votes.
From the PSOE of the Region of Murcia, it has pointed out that, if the alleged crime of buying votes by its candidate for Mayor of Albudeite (Murcia), Isabel Peñalver, is confirmed, it will proceed to expel her “immediately” from the party and dismiss her. of all positions held.

The regional PSOE has communicated its desire to “make it clear” that it will not overlook “any type of lack of exemplary character” in the organization. “Our pulse does not tremble in the face of any illegal or unethical practice,” he has indicated.
The formation, through a statement, has pointed out that “political organizations must act responsibly and exemplary.”
Likewise, the party has indicated that it hopes that “these intolerable events that are affecting different organizations in our country will not be instrumentalized by any formation”, because if so, “the only one that would really be harmed would be democracy.”
“We are relentless against any behavior that does not meet the highest ethical standards, because in this party there is no place for those who carry out illegal actions,” added the PSOE, which maintains that “we will always defend a transparent and quality democracy with all the instruments that we have at our disposal”.
