Hybrid working at home and in the office is often accompanied by a transformation. More smaller meeting areas are needed where several employees can meet for a video conference. These small areas are also called huddle spaces. At the same time, more and more work areas are being used flexibly, where employees no longer have their own desks.
For these flex desks, Logitech will be offering the Logi Dock Flex from July. This is a USB-connected docking station with an 8-inch screen with central management. The Logi Dock Flex is supported by a so-called Desk Booking Solution, with which employees can reserve a workspace. The dock then shows on the display when the workstation is reserved. A site plan can be stored in the software, with which you can select a specific place and you can also see which other places are reserved by whom, so that it is easier to arrange to work together. This should increase the willingness to drive to the office again.

The Logi Dock Flex delivers up to 100 W of power to the PC connected via USB, supports two monitors, a network connection and has three USB ports on the front and three on the back. The cables routed to the rear are secured in the dock itself. The software can be updated and the functionality checked via the central administration Logitech Sync. This relieves IT and building management. The Desk Booking Service is also managed via Sync and can be used with or without the Dock. In this way, workstations that do not yet have a dock can be booked using QR codes.
The Logi Dock Flex is expected to be available this fall at a price of 849 euros. In its simplest form, the Desk Booking Service is free of charge and can be booked in the Sync Portal. In the beta phase, the premium features such as floor plans and statistical evaluations are free of charge up to and including June 2024.
As an alternative to Logitech’s software, the Logi Dock Flex can also be used directly in connection with Microsoft Teams or Zoom Workspace Reservation.

For the smallest meeting area with up to six people, Logitech is offering the Rally Bar Huddle from July at a price of EUR 1999. This is a video bar with a 4k resolution camera, six beam forming microphones and speakers. It is placed under a wall-mounted monitor and covers a range of 120 degrees, so you can put a small table very close to the monitor. It rounds off the Rally Bar (EUR 3999) and Rally Bar Mini (EUR 2999) range.
Using the RightSight 2 software, the video bar can identify the current speaker and display it enlarged next to a group view. Alternatively, she resolves the group picture in grid form with each individual participant. This software will not be available until autumn 2023.

Rally Bar Huddle can be used in three modes: as a standalone appliance, connected to a meeting room computer running Windows or ChromeOS, or to a computer you bring with you. The anthracite gray front can be exchanged for a light gray variant or a washable front, for example for the healthcare sector.
