LaLiga filed a complaint with the Investigating Court No. 28 of Madrid. Among those identified at the time were several individuals convicted of participating in the fight in which Jimmy was murdered, the Deportivo de la Coruña fan who died after being thrown into the Manzanares river in 2014, according to El Confidencial.
The inflatable doll was key
The investigation, according to “Open Case”, started from the inflatable doll to which they put the shirt of the Real Madrid footballer, which was bought at a price of about 30 euros. The Scientific Police analyzes allowed ten fingerprints to be recovered, of which seven were invalid and three corresponded to people not previously recorded. The researchers followed the steps of the 58 virtual sex shops and all the physical stores in Madrid that sell this type of doll.
Today, four months later, the investigations seem to have borne fruit and the first arrests have been made. The investigations led to three members of the Athletic Front and a fourth of his companions, the latter unknown to the police until now, who are the ones arrested in today’s operation. They are charged with a hate crime. The police recovered evidence, such as a photograph uploaded to social networks, which led to his arrest. The detainees are between 19 and 25 years old and one of them, the alleged ringleader, has a record for a crime of injuries.
The harsh complaint of Real Madrid
This incident led to a support campaign on Twitter under the hashtag #TodossomosVini and a forceful complaint from the white club. “Real Madrid CF would like to thank the support and expressions of affection received after the unfortunate and disgusting act of racism, xenophobia and hatred against our player Vinicius. We express our firmest condemnation of events that violate the fundamental rights and dignity of people, and that have nothing to do with the values that football and sport represent. These attacks like the ones our player now suffers, or those that any athlete can suffer, cannot have a place in a society like ours. Real Madrid is confident that all the responsibilities of those who have participated in such a despicable act will be cleared up,” Real Madrid said in a statement.
Atlético de Madrid, the RFEF and LaLiga also denounced the events. “A message to those who take refuge at night to commit hate crimes, we will locate you, we will get convictions, so that you end up in jail, which is where you should be. ENOUGH NOW!!!”, was the forceful message Posted by Javier Tebas.
