In the interview published today by LA RAZÓN, the deputy mayor and Cs candidate, Begoña Villacís, recalls the escrache she suffered on May 15, 2019, San Isidro Day. A fact in which the current candidate of United We Can, Alejandra Jacinto, had a decisive participation. It must be remembered that, at that time, Villacís was not even part of the Cibeles government team, then headed by Manuela Carmena.
“Let no one vote for Alejandra Jacinto. If you want to vote for the left, there are other options, not someone capable of making an escrache to a pregnant woman,” Villacís assured this newspaper. “It’s unacceptable. I don’t care how they dress it. Most of us citizens would never do it. They taught me that, on the Metro, you give up a seat to a pregnant woman,” he adds.
That day, she recalls, “I went down to the San Isidro meadow surrounded by people who looked at me with anger and I hadn’t done anything. That woman was there. I was very scared because I had two days left to give birth. There was a guy who He threw it to the ground so that I fell on top of my stomach. That’s Alejandra Jacinto. Someone who understands that, in politics, this has justification is unjustifiable. She doesn’t deserve to be anyone’s president. I want people not to vote for Jacinto or Roberto Sotomayor”, in this case, a candidate for City Hall.
That is as “unacceptable”, adds the deputy mayor, “as it is that they later post a tweet saying: we have made an escrache to her facha tummy. That “facha tummy” is my daughter, Inés, who has turned four years old”. In fact, in the event that Villacís has coincided with Jacinto, “I want someone to be in between because I can’t stand it. It’s something I’m not going to forget. I’m quite understanding, but that was an aberration.” And she concludes: “Let no one vote for her, let no one justify violence in politics. They are stick feminists, like communists with chalets. It is what Podemos best represents, a huge hypocrisy, a huge lie.”
